- **Legacy Leaf Academy** – networking opportunities with others on the same journey.
This is a 4 week program that requires at least 4-6 hours of your commitment to attend the academy virtually. You could be in a group session or one-on-one as we fit everybody’s schedule.

The schedule will be as follows:
Week 1: Lifestyle, the business, Q&A
Week 2: Setting up your business, hustling for your footprint and capturing pre-launch audience, online presence strategy and building e-commerce platform and payment processing strategies
Week 3: Overview of how to build your business plan
Week 4: Overcoming objections, avoiding pitfalls and failures, setting realistic expectations for your business
OPTIONAL Week 5: Cigar Factory Tour Immersion. You will need to plan 2 nights, 3 days to visit our factory partners in Tamboril, Dominican Republic as and when you feel you are ready but only after successful completion of the 4 weeks and a rough draft of your business plan. During this tour, you will get extensive first-hand knowledge of how the tobacco is produced and manufactured. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to roll cigars if you like so you can add that skill to your trade and add that to your menu of offerings as this is a very high demand skill and lacks skilled workers in the United States. Once you master this skill, you could train others! Throughout your tour, you will be guided by an English-speaking instructor who will facilitate your training and instruction. All travel and lodging costs will be your responsibility. You will also have the opportunity to spend time with other locals in the cigar and rum trade that tourists do not get to meet. You will build lasting connections in the tight knit community in and around Tamburil, D.R.
HOW TO JOIN:
The program is invitational only and you must be invited to participate. In order to be considered you must be a MVP member - which stands for MOST VALUABLE PURCHASER. A MVP is a lady or gentleman that has already purchased a minimum of $1,500 in cigars from us. There are no other fees to attend the Academy! We also require that if you decide to launch your business, you place your first 5 orders (no matter the size) through us before you branch out on your own! This helps us fund the program, keep our artisans in the DR employed and prosper.
SPECIAL EXCEPTION: If you do not have all the $1,500, you can purchase cigars in small batches such as $350 or above and it will be credited toward your acceptance!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
- A lady or gentleman 21+
- Someone that is serious about starting their own private cigar line or cigar lounge or #CigarPopUp or just a handroller for events
- This is not a tourism opportunity!

FOOTNOTE: When we started in the actual business of making and selling cigars 10 years ago there was literally nobody to guide us. There were no welcome signs from the large trade and professional associations for the industry who only cater to the big fish or celebrities trying to dust off their retired jerseys and don a cigar ring!
